About Rasmiah
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Teacher specializing in early childhood and lower elementary education (Kindergarten through Grade 3). With dedicated training in child development and hands-on instructional experience, I focus on helping young learners build a strong, confident foundation in English, Reading, and Math.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every child can excel when given the right guidance, structure, and encouragement. Early education is critical for developing lifelong learning habits. My teaching philosophy revolves around making early learning interactive, structured, and joyfully encouraging. Young minds learn best through active engagement rather than passive listening, so I incorporate high-engagement techniques tailored for lower elementary students:
Visual & Manipulative-Based Learning: I use colorful digital visual aids, interactive slides, virtual counting blocks, and flashcards to make abstract math and reading concepts concrete.
The "I Do, We Do, You Do" Framework:
I Do: I demonstrate a concept or read a passage aloud clearly.
We Do: We solve a math problem or break down a word together step-by-step.
You Do: Your child completes a short exercise independently with my gentle guidance.
Multisensory Literacy (Phonics & Reading): Combining sound, visual cues, and contextual images to build phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and reading comprehension naturally.
