About Lourien
Hello, I’m Elle, an online English teacher based in Potchefstroom. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate, a master’s degree in Human Movement Science, and have about four years of experience teaching children online. I give children time to think, try and express their ideas, with encouragement and useful corrections along the way.

My one-to-one lessons suit children aged 6–12 who already know some English and want to improve reading, understanding and speaking. We read a story or short passage, discuss its meaning and practise retelling it in the child’s own words. I use questions, pictures and conversation to help children build fuller answers. Lessons follow their level and interests.
Paid lessons are 25 minutes at R125 per lesson, equivalent to the displayed rate of R300 per hour. I offer a free 30-minute introductory session.
