About Ivin
I am a first-year medical student at Wits. I am a Pedi-speaker who managed to excel in Afrikaans First Additional Language throughout high school until I got 90% in finals. I am passionate about helping high school learners struggling with Afrikaans, from those incomprehensible paper 3 to the complex paper 1, helping them improve marks and pass the subject confidently.

I teach Afrikaans First Additional Language at a level that non-native speakers will understand, using Pedi, Sotho, or Tswana to make lessons accessible. I got 90% matric in the year 2025 so I still have fresh tips in store! My tutoring is aimed at high school learners who are struggling with Afrikaans EAT and wish to pass the subject well. Lessons focus on simplifying grammar, building vocabulary, and improving comprehension through clear explanations and practical examples. Students can expect patient guidance, supportive practice, and personalized feedback designed to boost confidence and exam performance.
