About Marissa
My name is Marissa Meyer. As a college student endeavoring to become a teacher, nothing is more satisfying than helping a student achieve academic success. I recognize and admire those who helped me achieve academic excellence: my educators. Tutors act as a helping hand to put struggling students back on track when they fall behind in their studies. I am passionate about tutoring others because I used to be that struggling student: Now I aspire to pay it forward, to help those students who struggle in academics.

I am a college student who has tutored k-12 and math for 6 years. I aspire to become a teacher and therefore truly care about each and every student's future. I charge $25 per session (negotiable) so any student can afford tutoring. I do not charge by the hour, so that the student does not feel rushed. I will not end the session until the student feels confident in the subject area -whether the session is 1, 2, or 4 hours, the price is still $25 (negotiable). If the student is behind in math, I teach lessons from step one, reviewing past levels of math, assessing the root cause of the confusion so the student will no longer be behind in math. Furthermore, I consider myself skilled in writing essays (I get B's and A's on all my college papers).
