About Mara
I have more than 10 years of experience teaching ESL to college students from different academic fields. My teaching style focuses on building confidence and clear communication.
I help students improve academic essays, grammar accuracy, vocabulary strength, and speaking fluency. I also prepare them for seminars, presentations, and professional interviews.
My lessons are interactive and engaging. I use real-world topics, collaborative activities, and structured practice exercises. I integrate multimedia content and digital learning tools to enhance understanding.
I create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning from mistakes. I provide regular feedback and set achievable goals for improvement.
My aim is to equip students with the English skills they need to succeed academically and professionally while enjoying the learning process.

My ESL teaching approach focuses on building strong communication skills through practical application. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students practise English in meaningful contexts such as meetings, interviews, presentations, and daily conversations. Motivation plays a key role in my classes. I encourage students to stay positive and confident while learning.
I celebrate their improvements and guide them step by step towards fluency. When students struggle with grammar or pronunciation, I use problem-solving techniques to simplify complex ideas and provide clear explanations. I design exercises that target specific weak areas and improve overall language skills. Integrity is very important in my professional conduct. I provide honest feedback and maintain a respectful learning environment.
Flexibility helps me adjust lessons based on the student’s pace and goals. Besides ESL, I also teach vocabulary development, academic English, professional communication, and writing improvement.
