About Whitney
I have more than 8 years of experience teaching ESL to college students and helping them achieve academic success. My teaching style is organised, clear, and focused on practical application.
I work closely with students to improve essay writing, grammar accuracy, vocabulary strength, speaking fluency, and listening skills. I guide them step by step in preparing assignments, presentations, and classroom discussions.
My lessons are interactive and student-focused, including collaborative activities, role-plays, reading practice, and writing workshops. I also use online resources and multimedia tools to support modern learning methods. I provide detailed feedback and personalised improvement plans to ensure steady progress.

My approach to teaching ESL is practical, student-centred, and goal-oriented. I begin by understanding each student’s learning objectives and language level. Students practise through structured conversations, vocabulary exercises, grammar activities, and writing tasks.
I focus on helping students build confidence and fluency gradually. Motivation is encouraged through regular progress tracking and supportive feedback. When difficulties arise, I use clear explanations and targeted exercises to strengthen understanding.
I believe integrity and respect create a positive learning environment. Flexibility helps me adapt lessons to suit beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students. I also teach business English, interview preparation, academic communication, and pronunciation improvement alongside ESL.
