About Anna
I am a passionate Violin tutor with 5 years of dedicated teaching experience, working with students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a deep love for music.
My teaching approach is student-centred and structured. I believe that every student learns differently, so I carefully design lessons based on individual goals, learning speed, and musical interests. For beginners, I focus on posture, bow control, finger placement, and rhythm accuracy. For intermediate and advanced students, I emphasise tone production, expression, advanced techniques, and performance skills.
I combine technical exercises with creative learning methods to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable. I also incorporate music theory, ear training, and sight reading to give students a complete musical foundation. I regularly track progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure steady improvement.
One of my unique skills is my ability to make complex techniques simple and easy to understand. I create a comfortable and motivating learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and express themselves musically.
My goal as a tutor is not only to teach violin but to inspire discipline, creativity, and lifelong passion for music in every student I teach.

I teach violin using a methodology grounded in motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to create well-rounded musicians who are technically skilled, confident, and expressive. Lessons are tailored to the student’s goals, abilities, and learning style, combining structured technical exercises, creative exploration, improvisation, and performance preparation.
Motivation drives learning. I help students set meaningful goals, monitor progress, and celebrate milestones, fostering perseverance, self-confidence, and enthusiasm for music. Students learn to embrace challenges and see practice as an opportunity for growth.
Communication ensures lessons are interactive, collaborative, and supportive. Students can ask questions, share challenges, and explore ideas freely, building trust and engagement.
Creativity is central. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises allow students to discover their artistic voice and strengthen emotional expression. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, cultivating habits that ensure long-term excellence.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, giving students a holistic foundation in musicianship and performance.
