About Mateo
Hello and welcome! Firstly, congratulations on taking a step that many put off for years: investing in your own growth. I’m Mateo (or Teo), a British actor, recording artist and writer based in Oxford with thirteen years of boots-on-the-ground experience. If you’re looking for a creative, inclusive and judgement free space to develop your voice and presence, you’ve come to the right place. I have sat on drama school audition panels (such as Arts Educational Schools London where I trained on a full scholarship and was chosen as Alumni Ambassador), I’ve helped clients craft wedding speeches, mentored aspiring actors and supported professionals who want to present with confidence. As an actor, my work spans stage, screen and voiceover including productions for the Royal National Theatre, Punchdrunk, BBC, Penguin Random House and Channel 4 to name a few. I hold a Distinction in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford and I’m currently working on my first novel. My studies refined my editorial, literary and dramaturgical skills and, combined with my performance background, they form the basis of my teaching. I help clients find structure, intention and authenticity in their communication, whether they are preparing a speech, an audition or a major presentation. Since 2018 I have also worked as a recording artist, building a global audience in 183 countries and reaching more than 100 million Spotify streams. This experience has taught me how to hold attention, perform with purpose and create genuine connection. I bring these lessons directly into my coaching. With thirteen years as a professional actor, musician and writer, I know that every person learns differently. My coaching is personal, practical and shaped to your goals. Whether you are preparing for a single performance, an interview, a speech or a longer journey of growth, your sessions will be tailored to your needs—something we will discuss in our first session together. Public speaking is daunting for most people. I work with young people and adults of all ages to build confidence, presence and clarity. Together we focus on vocal technique, storytelling, mindset, body language and authentic delivery. The atmosphere is warm, grounded and quietly ambitious. As a working actor in the midst of my own career, I understand the nerves, the excitement and everything in between.
