About Lesego
I'm Kayla.. from South Africa My interest in teaching English stems from a deep passion for language and communication, as well as a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I believe that the ability to understand and use English confidently opens doors—whether in education, career, or personal growth. I am drawn to teaching because it allows me to connect with students, help them express themselves more clearly, and guide them toward their full potential. English, in particular, is a powerful tool for global connection, and I find it rewarding to help students develop the skills they need to engage with the wider world. What inspires me most is seeing students grow in confidence and ability. Every lesson is an opportunity not just to teach grammar or vocabulary, but to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. As an English teacher, I have learned that teaching is not just about imparting language skills—it is about building confidence, nurturing curiosity, and fostering communication. One of the key lessons I’ve gained is the importance of flexibility. Every class brings together students with different backgrounds, learning styles, and challenges. Adapting my teaching methods to meet their needs has been crucial for meaningful learning.
I have also discovered the value of creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel safe to express themselves, make mistakes, and grow. Encouraging participation and making lessons relevant to real-life situations has helped deepen student engagement and understanding.
Above all, teaching has shown me that learning is reciprocal. While I guide my students in mastering the English language, they continually inspire me with their resilience, perspectives, and growth. These experiences have strengthened my passion for education and my commitment to lifelong learning.
