About Rafai
I’m currently a pharmacy student with a strong passion for science and helping others succeed academically. Having recently gone through GCSEs and A Levels myself, I understand exactly what students struggle with and how to overcome it.
I enjoy tutoring because I like breaking down complex topics into simple, clear explanations that actually make sense. I focus on building confidence as well as understanding, as I’ve seen how much this impacts performance in exams.
I’m reliable, patient, and approachable, and I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel able to ask questions and learn without pressure. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more confident and in control of their subjects.

I am a pharmacy student with a strong academic background, offering lessons in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, as well as A Level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I focus on helping students not only understand content clearly, but also apply it effectively in exams.
My teaching approach is based on breaking topics down step by step, making complex ideas easy to understand before moving into exam style questions. Lessons are typically 1 hour and tailored to each student’s needs. I identify weaker areas early, then teach the content clearly and reinforce it with targeted practice using mark scheme techniques.
I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, including how to structure answers, use key terminology, and avoid common mistakes. This helps students maximise marks even in tougher questions.
