About Joanna
Have you ever wondered why code behaves differently than you expect despite your best efforts to follow the logic? I teach because I want to demystify complex systems like C++ and Python by focusing on clean code practices and efficient debugging techniques.
During my 13 years of experience, I have learned that students grasp object-oriented programming best when we connect it to real-world data structures. My work as a PhD candidate at UC Berkeley allows me to integrate academic rigor with the practical needs of modern developers. Whether we are building a foundation in HTML and CSS or structuring complex SQL and databases, I prioritize the underlying architecture of your projects. JavaScript remains a core focus of my instruction because it teaches the nuances of functional programming.
