About Syeda Mehreen
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biochemistry with over 10 years of teaching experience and a strong record of excellence in both instruction and research. My work focuses on understanding the effects of dietary protein on accelerated mortality and aging, with a special interest in the TOR (Target of Rapamycin) signaling pathway and how it integrates nutrition and lifespan regulation. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and mentoring hundreds of students, helping them develop not only technical competence but also scientific curiosity and confidence in their own abilities. My commitment to education has been recognized through multiple teaching awards, reflecting my ability to make challenging biochemical and molecular concepts engaging and accessible. As both a researcher and an educator, I strive to connect molecular mechanisms to real-world biological outcomes, bridging classroom theory with experimental science.
