About Zhana

My name is Zhana, and I have been teaching phonics for over 10 years. I am passionate about helping children develop strong reading skills and confidence in their learning. I chose to teach because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and feel proud of their progress. Phonics is the foundation of literacy, and I enjoy guiding students as they begin to recognise sounds, blend words, and read independently. What motivates me most is seeing those moments when a child realises they can read. Supporting each student’s journey and growth is the reason I love what I do every day.”

About the lesson

I am deeply passionate about teaching phonics and bring over 10 years of classroom experience to my practice. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong commitment to supporting every child in becoming a confident and capable reader. I find great fulfilment in seeing pupils progress, particularly when they overcome challenges and begin to engage with learning more independently. My motivation comes from witnessing those moments of success, no matter how small, as they build a child’s confidence and love for learning. I believe that with the right support and approach, every child can achieve and thrive in their literacy journey.
