About Saswata
I am a Chemistry PhD from the University of Illinois Chicago and hold an MSc from IIT Kharagpur. With 5+ years of Teaching Assistant experience at UIC, I have taught large undergraduate classes in general and organic chemistry, guiding students through lectures, labs, and problem-solving sessions. My expertise spans school boards (CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, IB, Cambridge, State Boards) and competitive exams including IIT-JEE, NEET, JAM, GATE, CSIR NET, as well as international exams such as AP, SAT, GRE, and MCAT. My Teaching Approach
Teaching Techniques & Methods
I focus on building strong conceptual clarity in chemistry through structured explanations, problem-solving practice, and exam-oriented strategies. I adapt my methods to each student’s pace, using visual aids, real-world examples, and past exam questions to make complex topics approachable.
Class Structure
Each session begins with a quick recap of the previous lesson, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts. I then guide students through practice problems and interactive discussions, clarify doubts, and end with a short summary or assignment to reinforce learning.

My unique strength lies in combining international exposure (PhD in Chemistry, University of Illinois Chicago; 5+ years of Teaching Assistant experience) with Indian academic rigor (M.Sc. from IIT Kharagpur).
