About Elina
With a PhD in Computer Science and over four years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the tech industry. My teaching approach combines theory and practical applications, ensuring that students not only understand the principles behind computer science but can also apply them to real-world problems. I offer personalized guidance for coding assignments and exam preparation, with a focus on building problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. My teaching style encourages active participation through coding challenges, projects, and collaborative work, allowing students to build hands-on experience while learning key concepts. Having taught students at various levels, I adapt my teaching methods to each student’s learning needs and goals. My ultimate aim is to inspire students to pursue careers in computer science, ensuring they develop the confidence and competence to succeed in a rapidly evolving field.

In the Computer Science course, students begin with the foundational concepts of algorithms and data structures. They learn how to design and implement algorithms to solve problems efficiently and understand how data is organized and accessed in different data structures like arrays, linked lists, trees, and graphs.
As the course progresses, students delve into more complex topics like object-oriented programming (OOP), database systems, and software engineering principles. Topics such as database design, SQL, and file management are explored, helping students build the skills needed for software development and systems design.
In addition, the course includes coding challenges, project work, and group discussions, helping students apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of the core principles of computer science, problem-solving skills, and real-world programming experience.
