About Michael
As an undergraduate student, I majored in economics with a minor in statistics because I love math and social studies. I finished a PhD in economics in late 2019. As a doctoral candidate, I taught an intensive summer course called the Global Economy, and I have been tutoring on an online platform called Wyzant since last September. So far on this site, all of my reviews have been 5 out of 5 stars.
I will be traveling from September 25 to October 4, so I apologize if I can't help you then, but after that I will be available every day until Christmas.

I teach from first principles and use the Socratic method. When someone is stuck on a question, I start by asking a smaller question that I either know the student knows the answer to or that is key to why most people get confused by the question. Usually students either find that they can answer their own question, or they stumble somewhere, and that tells me where I have to focus my teaching. If the student stumbles somewhere, I use more lecturing and explaining, but might end that lecture with a question to be sure the student understands and won't stumble there again.

I think that Michael is one of the best tutors I have ever had. He has a very advanced knowledge of economics and makes his lessons clear and easy to understand. He could summarize a two-hour regular professor’s class in ten minutes of tutoring. Michael is very analytical and patient. You should book a tutoring with him.
Michael is an experienced tutor. He takes the time to find out your degree of understanding and guides you through the steps to solve the problem. I know from overhearing his sessions that his goal is that you'll learn how to arrive at the answer on your own the next time. Michael is very patient and interested in your questions. With a Ph.D. in economics and statistics, he can teach all levels from high school through graduate school.
I have found Michael to be dedicated, reliable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
Michael is an excellent teacher! He has tutored me in Micro and Macro economics and always thoroughly explains each topic. He is very quick to respond and attentive to make sure you understand the material.
