About Tahere

Teaching is the part of my work I enjoy most. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student who was anxious about statistics realise they can do it. I’d be glad to help you reach that point too.
I’m reliable and well prepared, and I always respect your time. Lessons start on time, and I keep everything you share with me, including your data and coursework, confidential.

About the lesson

How I teach

Every lesson starts with you. In our first session I find out your course, your level and what’s worrying you most, then plan the lessons around that. I explain concepts step by step in plain English, using real research examples rather than abstract formulae. I then work through problems with you until you can do them on your own.

For dissertation and project students, I work on your own data and research question. I can help you choose the right study design and statistical test, clean and analyse your data, interpret results correctly and write them up clearly. I can teach in R, SPSS, STATA, SAS or Python. I can also show you how to use AI tools responsibly to support your research, which I have taught at university.

Lesson length

Lessons usually last 60 minutes. For hands-on data analysis, I recommend 90 minutes so we have time to work through your analysis properly. Lessons are online, or in person in Uxbridge and West London.

My experience as a tutor

Taught epidemiology and biostatistics to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences
Supervised MSc and MD theses from planning to final write-up
Designed and delivered workshops on statistical analysis, research methods and literature searching
Taught researchers how to use AI in research at the University of Isfahan
Experienced peer reviewer for health journals, so I know what examiners and reviewers look for

Who my lessons are for

Undergraduate, MSc and PhD students in public health, epidemiology, medicine, nursing, health sciences and related subjects
Students working on a dissertation or thesis who need help with study design or data analysis
Researchers and healthcare professionals who want to build their statistics or R skills
