About Anna Marie
Hello! I am a licensed Mathematics teacher from the Philippines with over 9 years of teaching experience in Senior High School and nearly 2 years of experience as an online ESL teacher. I specialize in General Mathematics, Statistics and Probability, and other high school math subjects. My teaching style is patient, interactive, and student-centered, ensuring that every lesson is tailored to your learning needs and goals. I simplify challenging concepts into easy-to-understand steps, helping students build confidence and improve their problem-solving skills. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance, patience, and practice. As a licensed Mathematics teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex mathematical concepts through step-by-step explanations, real-life applications, interactive activities, guided practice, and visual aids. I adapt every lesson to each student's learning pace, strengths, and areas for improvement, ensuring that they not only arrive at the correct answers but also understand the concepts behind them. A typical lesson begins with a review of previous topics to reinforce learning, followed by the introduction of new concepts using clear explanations and examples. We then work through practice problems together before students solve similar exercises independently with my guidance. Each lesson concludes with a summary of key concepts and additional practice to strengthen understanding. What sets me apart as a tutor is my extensive experience teaching Senior High School Mathematics, as well as my background as a research adviser who emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, and senior high school students, as well as college students taking introductory mathematics courses. I also help learners prepare for quizzes, examinations, and college entrance tests, while supporting anyone who wants to strengthen their mathematical foundation, improve academic performance, and gain confidence in solving mathematical problems independently.
