My teaching is rooted in building conceptual clarity and problem-solving confidence. Coming from an academic research background, I break down complex scientific and mathematical ideas into clear, intuitive steps.

-> Exam Technique & Confidence: Master class concepts are paired directly with exam technique, mark scheme logic, and time-management strategies so students feel completely prepared when stepping into their exams.

I offer tutoring for GCSE and A Level students in Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
Whether a student is aiming to boost their confidence in foundational topics or striving to push their grades up, lessons are tailored to their specific curriculum and exam board specifications (AQA, OCR, Edexcel).
Qualifications & Academic Background
PhD Graduate: I hold a PhD in marine sciences, giving me an in-depth, rigorous understanding of biology, physics, and mathematical methods.
Collaborative Teaching & Mentorship: Throughout my academic career, I have extensive experience explaining intricate quantitative and ecological concepts, supervising undergraduate students, and collaborating closely on complex research projects alongside academic colleagues.
Passion for STEM: My goal is to pass on a genuine appreciation for science and maths while helping students achieve their target grades.
Typical Lesson Structure & Length
Standard Lesson Length: 60 minutes (with 90-minute or 2-hour deep-dive sessions available upon request for intensive revision).
Lesson Breakdown:
-> Quick Review (5–10 mins): Recap of previous material or a quick check-in on tricky homework questions.
-> Core Concept Delivery (20–25 mins): Interactive discussion and breaking down the session's key topic.
-> Applied Practice (20 mins): Working through targeted exam questions collaboratively.
-> Wrap-Up & Goal Setting (5 mins): Summarising key takeaways and setting light review tasks for the next session.
