About Marta
I have a master’s degree in Law attained at the Univeristy of Kent, with courses that focused on human rights law, international criminal law, transnational criminal law and sociology. Additionally, I am currently a PhD student at Queen Mary, University of London, where I am doing research on the implementation of human trafficking and migrant smuggling policies on the Italian jurisdiction.

I have extensive teaching experience: I have been
lecturing contract law, constitutional law, legal skills and legal ethics at foundation level for 9 months in Portsmouth. Evaluating students’ learning capabilities and needs, helping them through assignments, and suggesting new learning techniques have been part of my main responsibilities as a lecturer during my experience at the International College Portsmouth
(University of Portsmouth). In addition to the lecturer’s responsibilities I was asked by the direction to privately tutor one of the students who was diagnosed with a learning disability.
Working with him required me to explore many teaching strategies in order to find the one that suited him best and I am very proud to say that he passed all the module final exams.
