About André
Hello! My name is André (you can also call me Andrew, as my name is a little hard for English speakers ;) ).
I am a PhD/professor in mathematics whose main passion in life is teaching (and I've been doing it for 12 years). While I really enjoy teaching in big and full classes, my real joy is teaching individually, since this way I can really connect empathetically with the student and help them to gain confidence and even to love mathematics.
Besides loving math I also love philosophy, culture and capoeira!

Mathematics is a hierarchical knowledge: one cannot learn to multiply without knowing how to add firts!
In my lessons I will help you to find the holes in your formation that are stopping you from learning what you need to. I like lessons practice driven: we focus on exercises while I explain the necessary theory behinde these problems.
But also, we can reorient the lessons according to your necessities.
