About Kimberley
I am currently a history PhD student but my primary degree training is in civil law. I have a particular interest in criminal and contract law but am delighted to teach any aspect of civil law. There is nothing difficult about studying law but what can make it difficult is narrowing in on the most relevant bits of legislation and judgements, and understanding how all this works together to allow for the correct interpretation of the law.

My job is to make the material more accessible and more interesting for you. When you're interested, you'll learn better. So, I don't expect to lecture at you for 55 minutes (!). Instead, I hope that the session can be more of a conversation, with you offering your best guess where you're not sure of something and us generally exploring the topic together. So much of this stuff is learning to think in different ways and using your common sense, and by the end, I hope you'll be incredibly confident with the material.
With law in particular, the trick is often to map your way through the case law.
