About Curtis
My academic work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed publications, and I have a demonstrated track record of success working with struggling post-secondary students. I have experience working with anxiety and executive dysfunction challenges, and base my entire approach on taking the time to empathize with the struggles and lived experience of my students.

Effective argumentative writing is not a skill that anyone is born with, it only comes with extensive practice and mentorship. I’ve successfully shown failing students on academic probation how to tweak their approach to written assignments and test taking, and saw them graduate with first class standing. I know how to do this because I did it myself, with the help of a writing mentor! I was once expelled from my undergraduate degree for low marks, but clawed my way back and eventually completed not just my undergraduate, but a MA and PhD as well. This is possible for anyone with the willingness to learn and accept help.
