About Penny
Phonemic Awareness
Phonics instruction teaches children how to decode letters into their respective sounds, a skill that is essential for them to read unfamiliar words by themselves. It helps children to hear, identify and use different sounds that distinguish one word from another in the English Language. Keep in mind that most words are in fact unfamiliar to early readers in print, even if they have spoken knowledge of the word.

I graduated with a diploma in Early Years’ Enrichment Education (awarded by The London Teachers Training College, UK) and embarked into the education sector a couple of years back and also a certified trainer in Phonics, Speech development & creative drama, as well as Music & Movement.
