About Jeffrey
I’m a data scientist, Python developer, and former research physicist with experience turning complex data into practical answers. I have worked with Python, SQL, machine learning, statistical modeling, dashboards, and large sensor datasets in federal research, NOAA operations, public-safety data systems, and AI projects.
My background includes a physics degree from the University of Maryland, computer science coursework, and data analytics study at Washington State University. I have also contributed to research connected with the Large Hadron Collider and worked as a research physicist at the Naval Research Laboratory. Today, I build data pipelines, analytic workflows, and AI tools.
I did not take a perfectly straight path through school or technology. I began my career in the Air Force working on aircraft ground equipment, then returned to school as an adult and built my skills step by step: math fundamentals, programming, physics, research, and data science. That experience taught me that progress comes from consistent study and grit, not from being “naturally good” at math on day one.
I enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed by technical material, who need concepts explained differently, or who learn best with structure and repetition. I use plain language, practical examples, real understanding with hands-on exercises instead of memorization of abstract definitions.
Whether we are learning algebra basics, analyzing a dataset making charts, or preparing for a data science project, I will meet you at your current level and help you build confidence through steady, measurable progress.

My lessons follow a clear, consistent structure, so you always know what to expect. Each session has four parts:
1. Check-in (5 min): We review what you remember from last time and what you want to focus on today.
2. Concept (15 min): I explain one idea at a time with visuals, real examples, and plain language before any jargon.
3. Practice (25 min): You work through problems or code while I guide you. You do the thinking and I help when you get stuck.
4. Recap (5 min): We sum up what you learned, and I leave you a short, specific task for the next lesson.
I have worked with many kinds of learners, including students with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. For them, predictable routines, small steps, and frequent breaks make a big difference. I adjust the pace, use visual and hands-on methods, break big tasks into short checklists, and never rush you. There are no "dumb questions" in my lessons.
I also know what it's like to learn different. I started my career as an Air Force mechanic, not a top student. I went back to school as an adult and earned a physics degree, then worked as a research physicist at the Naval Research Laboratory and later on AI projects for Boeing. I got there with structure, patience, and many small wins. That's exactly what I bring to every student.
My lessons are for high school and college students, adults changing careers, and professionals who want practical skills in Python, data science, math, or physics, online or in person.
