About Kaia
I have always been fascinated by the laws governing motion, energy, and the cosmos. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Physics followed by an M.Sc in Astrophysics. Over the past 12 years, I have taught students across levels, helping them transform complex, abstract concepts into accessible and engaging knowledge while fostering analytical and critical thinking skills.
My teaching approach emphasises interactive, adaptive, and structured lessons. I integrate diagrams, demonstrations, discussions, and problem-solving exercises, ensuring that each student progresses according to their learning style and pace. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent reasoning, aiming to build both competence and confidence in understanding physics.
Outside the classroom, I engage with current scientific research, astrophysical studies, and experimental techniques. Bringing these insights into lessons allows students to connect classical physics with modern discoveries, making learning relevant and inspiring. Watching students grow in understanding, confidence, and intellectual curiosity has been the most rewarding aspect of my professional journey and motivates my ongoing dedication to teaching physics.

My physics lessons are designed to transform complex principles into engaging, understandable, and applicable concepts. I cover mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, waves, quantum phenomena, and introductory particle physics. Lessons blend visual explanations, practical demonstrations, problem-solving exercises, and thought experiments, creating an environment where learners feel encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas deeply. I focus on helping students develop logical reasoning, analytical skills, and independent thinking, emphasising both conceptual clarity and practical application.
For beginners, I introduce fundamental topics such as motion, energy, and basic electrical circuits, using clear examples and step-by-step guidance. Intermediate students tackle multi-step derivations, experimental interpretation, and applied problem-solving, while advanced learners explore quantum mechanics, relativity, and modern theoretical models. Each lesson incorporates exercises, real-world examples, and detailed explanations to reinforce understanding, build confidence, and cultivate critical thinking.
Physics education not only enhances academic performance but also strengthens curiosity, attention to detail, and structured reasoning. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, solve problems creatively, and apply concepts beyond the classroom. My aim is to inspire a deeper appreciation for physics while fostering confident, independent, and inquisitive learners capable of exploring the universe with curiosity and understanding.
