About Bethany
My interest in physics began with a fascination for the forces and laws that govern our universe, from motion and energy to light and electricity. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Physics and an M.Sc in Astrophysics, where I studied both classical and modern physical principles. Over the past 8 years, I have worked with learners across different levels, guiding them through complex concepts with patient, structured, and motivating instruction that builds understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
I focus on creating a learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to explore. Lessons combine diagrams, real-world examples, practical experiments, and stepwise reasoning to ensure comprehension and skill development. I encourage curiosity, questions, and independent thinking to promote deeper learning and intellectual growth.
Outside teaching, I engage with research, observational studies, and physics projects, which allows me to integrate current scientific applications into lessons and inspire learners. Teaching physics is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow from uncertainty to confidence, developing both competence and curiosity. Supporting learners in understanding natural laws, enhancing analytical thinking, and gaining self-assurance remains the most rewarding part of my work.

Physics can seem complex and abstract, but my lessons focus on making concepts tangible, intuitive, and applicable to everyday life. I cover classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, waves, optics, and modern physics while emphasizing problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills. Lessons are designed to help learners connect abstract concepts with real-world applications, enhancing comprehension, retention, and confidence. By combining demonstrations, examples, and structured exercises, students gradually develop both conceptual understanding and practical capability.
Beginners are guided through fundamental laws, units, measurements, and simple experiments to establish a strong foundation. Intermediate learners focus on multi-step problem-solving, graphical analysis, applied calculations, and laboratory demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts. Advanced learners explore derivations, complex problem-solving, theoretical modeling, and connections to advanced physics applications. Each lesson integrates explanation, guided practice, discussion, and iterative problem-solving to strengthen understanding and foster independent thinking.
Physics lessons also cultivate curiosity, logical reasoning, and confidence. Students gradually learn to approach challenges methodically, predict outcomes, and analyze results critically. Many develop an appreciation for the elegance and structure of natural phenomena, which fuels engagement and deeper understanding. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where learners master concepts, think critically, and confidently explore the principles governing the physical world, cultivating both competence and intellectual curiosity.
