About Ashika

Hello! I’m a B.Sc. Physics graduate and B.Ed. qualified teacher with several years of experience teaching students in both classroom and online learning environments.

I began my teaching journey by working as a school teacher for a year, which gave me valuable experience in understanding students, managing a classroom and adapting lessons to different learning needs. I then worked with Swiflearn for a year and UrbanPro for a year, gaining experience in one-to-one and online teaching.

I have also worked as an online teacher for around two years, including teaching international students. This experience has helped me become comfortable working with students from different backgrounds, learning levels and educational needs.

Over the years, I have taught students through different formats and learned that every student does not learn in the same way. This is why I focus on clear explanations, simple examples, interaction and personalized teaching rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

As a teacher, I am patient, approachable and genuinely invested in my students' progress. I encourage students to ask questions freely and make sure they understand a concept before moving forward. I also help students develop their exam-writing skills, scientific vocabulary, answer structure and confidence.

My goal is not simply to help a student finish their syllabus. I want them to understand what they are learning, become confident in applying it, and gradually become independent learners.

I mainly teach school-level Science and Physics, particularly for CBSE students, and I would be happy to work with students who want to strengthen their concepts, improve their academic performance or simply develop a better understanding of Science.

I look forward to helping my students discover that Science can be much simpler and more interesting than they think!

About the lesson

I believe that effective teaching is not just about explaining a topic—it is about making sure the student truly understands it and can confidently apply it.

My approach is concept-based, interactive and student-centered. I first try to understand what the student already knows and where they are struggling. I then break complex concepts into simple, logical steps and use relatable, real-life examples wherever possible. I regularly ask questions and encourage students to explain concepts in their own words so that I can check their understanding rather than simply assuming they have understood.

A typical class begins with a quick recap or retrieval of previously learned concepts, followed by the introduction of the new topic. I explain the concept step-by-step, use examples or visual explanations where helpful, and then involve the student through questions and guided practice. Towards the end, we revise the key points and practice exam-style questions so that the student learns not only what the answer is, but also how to present it effectively in an examination.

One of my special strengths as a teacher is identifying why a student is struggling. Sometimes the problem is not a lack of understanding, but difficulty with scientific vocabulary, remembering concepts, interpreting questions, or expressing answers clearly. I adapt my teaching accordingly rather than using the same approach for every student.

I also believe that students should feel comfortable saying, “I don't understand.” I create a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of learning.

My classes are primarily intended for school students, especially CBSE students, who want to strengthen their Science and Physics concepts, improve their understanding, and become more confident in examinations.

My goal is simple: to help students move from “I have to study this” to “I actually understand this.”
