About Callie
My fascination with the universe began in childhood, observing the stars and wondering about the forces that govern motion and energy. This passion guided me to pursue an M.Sc in Astrophysics and Applied Physics, providing a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Over the past 12 years, I have taught students from novice learners to advanced enthusiasts, emphasising clarity, structured learning, and conceptual understanding.
I believe physics teaching should balance patience, rigour, and engagement. I structure lessons to ensure that each learner can connect abstract ideas to concrete examples, encouraging independent thought and problem-solving. Visualisations, demonstrations, and step-by-step explanations form the core of my approach, ensuring that students not only solve problems but understand the principles behind them.
Beyond teaching, I stay connected to the field through research reading, simulations, and experimental observation. I find immense satisfaction in watching students transition from uncertainty to confidence, gaining analytical skills that extend beyond the classroom. Supporting learners in developing both understanding and curiosity about the physical world is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

Physics lessons are designed to transform complex concepts into clear, intuitive understanding, making the subject approachable and exciting. I cover classical mechanics, waves, optics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and modern physics topics such as quantum mechanics and relativity, carefully linking theory to real-life phenomena. Each lesson is structured to build curiosity and analytical reasoning, allowing students to grasp not only the formulae but the logic behind the laws that govern the universe.
Lessons are tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners receive patient guidance through fundamental concepts and visual examples, while intermediate learners explore problem-solving strategies, derivations, and experimental interpretations. Advanced learners focus on analytical rigour, applying equations, exploring simulations, and engaging in conceptual discussions about cutting-edge discoveries. Every session integrates practical exercises, thought experiments, and reasoning tasks that cultivate both understanding and confidence.

Students gain the ability to analyse problems systematically and make sense of abstract concepts in tangible ways. My goal is to create a supportive environment where learners feel confident exploring the physical world, unlocking curiosity, and building both competence and intellectual independence in physics.
