About Prachi

Hi! I’m a dedicated math and physics student at the University of Toronto, and I’m genuinely passionate about both learning and teaching. As a student myself, I know exactly how frustrating it can be to feel stuck on a concept and how amazing it feels when everything finally clicks. That’s a big part of why I love tutoring. I get to help others experience that “aha” moment and truly understand the material. I’ve worked with students at different levels, from elementary school all the way to early university, and I always make sure I’m fully prepared for each session. I’m patient, empathetic, and really invested in helping you understand and master the topics you’re working on. If you’re looking for someone who is approachable and genuinely interested in your success, I'd love to help!

About the lesson

My teaching style is flexible and based on what the student needs help with—this could be solving problems step-by-step or working through conceptual questions together. My goal is always to help students truly understand the material, not just follow along or memorize steps. I want students to feel confident thinking through problems on their own.

A typical lesson plan varies depending on the student, but I usually ask students to send me a list of topics or specific problems they’d like to work on beforehand. During the session, we’ll either go through those problems together or dive into a discussion to build a deeper understanding of the topic.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I’ve been in the same position as many of my students. Although I am now a math and physics student, I wasn’t someone who "just got it" right away. I know how frustrating it can be when a concept doesn’t click, especially when it feels like everyone else is understanding it. Because of that, I’m patient, empathetic, and truly motivated to help students who are eager to learn.

My lessons are best suited for high school and early college students studying math or physics, whether you’re preparing for exams, working through tough homework problems, or just trying to get a better grasp of the material
