About Riaan
With over 8 years of experience as a physics tutor and a Master’s in Physics, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping students explore the fascinating intersection of physics and biology. My focus lies in biophysics and the physics of living systems, where I guide learners through the principles that drive life at every scale. Whether it's the movement of molecular motors, membrane transport mechanisms, or the propagation of nerve impulses, I break down complex ideas into digestible, engaging lessons. I also cover biomechanics, helping students understand how physical forces shape motion and structure in living organisms. My approach blends analytical thinking with real-world biological applications, making physics both meaningful and memorable. I’ve worked closely with biology majors, pre-med students, and anyone curious about the physical basis of life processes. My goal is to help them see how physics explains everything from muscle contraction to brain activity. Each session is tailored to match the student’s background, pace, and goals.
