About Isabella Martin
With an MS in energy and climate policy from Stanford and a background in chemical engineering and chemistry, my expertise lies in the field of physics. Over the past 5 years, I have honed my skills as a tutor, specializing in physics, calculus, and SAT math. I approach teaching physics by engaging students with real-world examples and their interests to introduce topics in an engaging manner. I then provide explicit instruction, using guided examples with a slow-release model to help students understand problem-solving concepts. This method allows for a gradual transition to independent practice opportunities. I also focus on reinforcing classroom learning by assisting with missing work and creating schedules to stay on top of assignments. By tailoring lesson plans to individual student needs, I aim to help them excel in physics by building a strong foundation of understanding and problem-solving skills.
