About Jasmine
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Physics. My focus is on helping students understand the physics behind everyday objects and phenomena. I use simple demonstrations and relatable examples, like boiling water, bouncing balls, or a car braking, to make concepts come alive.
I enjoy presenting conceptual challenges that encourage students to think deeply and question what they observe. My lessons are designed to connect theory with the real world, showing how physics explains the ordinary in extraordinary ways. I aim to make each session interactive, engaging, and easy to follow.
Over the years, I have helped students from school to university levels develop both confidence and curiosity. I guide them to see patterns, reason logically, and apply principles creatively. I believe that understanding physics doesn’t have to be abstract or intimidating—it can be intuitive and fun.
I take pride in fostering curiosity about the physical world all around us. By connecting lessons to daily life, I help students appreciate how physics shapes their experiences. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, relevant, and memorable. Physics can be fascinating, and I love helping students discover that joy in everyday observation.

My teaching approach in Physics is relaxed, practical, and focused on real-world applications. I help students see how physics connects to engineering and everyday life. I cover key areas such as mechanics, materials science, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and statics/dynamics in structures. Lessons are designed to bridge theory with practical engineering problems, making concepts clear and usable.
I emphasise problem-solving skills, encouraging students to apply physics principles in designing and analysing real systems. Computational methods are also introduced to simulate physical phenomena and test engineering designs. I guide students step by step, ensuring they understand the underlying principles, not just formulae.
Assignments and examples are chosen from real engineering challenges, making learning more relevant and engaging. I adapt my teaching style to each student, supporting their unique learning pace. Through practical demonstrations and interactive problem-solving, I make complex topics approachable.
By connecting physics to engineering projects, I help students gain confidence and excel in their studies. My goal is to make physics a powerful tool for designing and understanding the world. I provide continuous support so students can master concepts and apply them successfully in exams, assignments, and projects.
