About Eric
I’m a friendly and patient tutor with a background in Computer Science and Data Science, and I enjoy helping students understand subjects that initially seem complicated.
My approach to Physics is centred around understanding rather than memorisation. I want students to know what the equations and concepts actually mean, how they connect to each other, and when to apply them.
I’m particularly interested in helping students who have lost confidence because they’ve struggled with certain topics. Sometimes a student doesn't need to start over—they just need the right explanation and a chance to rebuild the missing pieces.
Whether you’re preparing for GCSE or A-Level Physics, catching up on missed topics, or trying to become more confident with exam questions, I’ll adapt our lessons to your needs and work through the difficult parts with you.

My lessons are focused on helping you understand Physics rather than simply memorising formulae and hoping you remember which one to use.
We’ll start by looking at what you already understand and where you’re getting stuck. I’ll then break difficult concepts down into clear steps and use questions and practical examples to help you connect the ideas together.
Physics often becomes difficult when one small concept hasn't been fully understood. Whether you're struggling with forces, electricity, waves, mechanics, materials or calculations, we'll identify the part that's causing the difficulty and work through it properly.
Lessons are adapted to your level, syllabus and goals. We can focus on learning new topics, catching up on missed work, preparing for exams, working through past-paper questions, or building confidence in areas you find challenging.
The goal is for you to understand **why** something works, not just remember a formula. By the end of each lesson, you should feel more confident approaching the next Physics question independently.
