About Silas
My journey in physics began with curiosity about the invisible rules behind motion, light, and energy. This interest led me to complete a B.Sc in Applied Physics, where I gained strong foundations in both theoretical understanding and practical scientific reasoning. With 8 years of teaching experience, I have supported many students in transforming physics from a stressful subject into one they can approach with confidence.
I believe great teaching requires patience, clarity, and encouragement. My tutoring style focuses on building understanding through explanation, visualisation, and steady practice. I enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed at first, guiding them towards calm progress and stronger academic performance. Whether preparing for exams or simply trying to understand concepts better, students receive structured and personalised support.
Outside of tutoring, I continue exploring physics through reading, scientific discussions, and staying connected to modern developments in research. Teaching is deeply fulfilling because I see students grow intellectually and emotionally as they gain confidence in their thinking. Helping learners discover that physics is understandable and even exciting is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

Physics can feel intimidating at first, but it becomes much clearer when taught through real understanding rather than fear of formulae. My lessons focus on explaining motion, forces, energy, electricity, and waves in a way that connects naturally to everyday life. I help students see physics as a story of how the universe works, not just a collection of equations. Sessions are calm, interactive, and designed to build confidence through step-by-step reasoning.
Lessons are always adjusted to the learner’s stage. Beginners develop comfort with basic concepts, simple diagrams, and intuitive explanations that remove anxiety. Intermediate students strengthen their skills through structured problem-solving, experiment interpretation, and clearer mathematical application. Advanced learners refine their ability to handle multi-step calculations, derivations, and exam-style questions with accuracy and depth. Each lesson includes guided practice and supportive correction to ensure consistent improvement.
Physics teaches more than academic content. It builds critical thinking, patience, and the ability to analyse complex ideas with clarity. As students improve, they often feel more confident across other subjects too. My goal is to help learners feel empowered by physics, developing the mindset that they can understand difficult concepts through curiosity, effort, and strong guidance.
