About Elise

My teaching approach for Physics is centred around clear communication, building strong relationships, and creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment. I focus on breaking down complex Physics concepts, such as Quantum Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics, into simple, digestible pieces. My aim is to make learning Physics engaging and relatable by connecting theoretical knowledge to real-world applications. I prioritise open communication with my students, encouraging them to ask questions and actively participate in lessons. Integrity and cultural sensitivity are at the core of my tutoring style—treating each student with respect, understanding their unique backgrounds, and adjusting my teaching methods accordingly. I also make use of visual aids, interactive demonstrations, and problem-solving strategies to reinforce concepts. My methodology includes regular assessments and feedback, ensuring progress while adapting lessons to meet individual needs. By making Physics accessible and enjoyable, I strive to help students not only achieve academic success but also develop a lasting appreciation for the subject.

About the lesson

I am an experienced Physics tutor with 8 years of teaching high school and college students. Over this time, I have successfully guided around 250 students to improve their understanding, confidence, and grades in Physics. My teaching covers topics such as Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, and Relativity, making complex ideas simple and clear. My teaching philosophy is to make learning Physics engaging and accessible. I focus on clear explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving to help students connect theory to practice. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and needs, ensuring they fully understand before moving forward. Communication, patience, and encouragement are key parts of my approach. One of my proudest achievements is helping many students overcome their fear of Physics and succeed in their exams with improved results. My goal is not only to help students excel academically but also to inspire curiosity and a lasting interest in Physics. I aim to build strong foundations that support lifelong learning.
