About Anika
I am a Physics tutor with over 9 years of experience and hold an MSc in Astrophysics. My passion lies not only in teaching concepts but also in sharing the fascinating history of physics. I believe understanding where ideas come from makes learning deeper and more meaningful. That’s why I often take students back to the groundbreaking experiments that shaped science. We revisit Galileo’s simple yet revolutionary experiments with motion and how they changed our view of the universe. I also guide students through Newton’s laws, which remain the foundation of classical mechanics. From there, we explore the brilliance of Maxwell’s equations and how they unified electricity and magnetism. Finally, we dive into the bold discoveries of the quantum revolution, where physicists challenged intuition to explain the unseen. In my lessons, students don’t just learn formulas—they see the scientific method in action. They appreciate the creativity, persistence, and intellectual bravery that allowed scientists to question what others thought was impossible. I aim to build curiosity as well as confidence, encouraging learners to think critically and connect ideas across different areas. My approach blends clear explanations with stories of discovery that bring the subject to life. My teaching approach in Physics is systematic, clear, and focused on building a deep understanding of how the world works. I believe that complex topics can be understood when broken into simple, logical steps.
I work with students of all levels, guiding them from the basics to advanced concepts. My lessons cover Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, States of Matter, and Gas Laws.
I focus on connecting macroscopic behaviors to their underlying principles. For example, understanding how energy flows in heat transfer makes thermodynamics less abstract and more practical.
I provide consistent feedback so students can see their progress and correct mistakes quickly. This helps them gain confidence while mastering core principles.
I am especially good at supporting learners who like to tinker (Gadget Hackers) and those who learn by experimenting (Experimentalists). I encourage them to test ideas, question outcomes, and learn by doing.
My sessions are interactive, structured, and tailored to each learner’s style. Sometimes we focus on careful step-by-step problem solving, while other times we explore real-life applications to make ideas stick.
Together, we will build a strong understanding of energy and the laws that govern physical systems. With clarity and practice, Physics becomes not just a subject but a way to explain the world.
