About Luis

UCL undergraduate in the third year with an incredibly strong foundation in STEM. I got A* in my A levels including further mathematics, my GCSEs were 9s in STEM subjects. I am British with a clear accent and great communication skills. I try to help the student as much as possible and take an approach where I guide the student rather than just telling them the answer as mathematics and physics are subjects that you learn whilst practising, not whilst staring at a lecture on a screen. I make sure my lessons are not boring and monotone to keep the student engaged, and I ensure the student is actively logically working out the problems rather than passively listening.

About the lesson

The length of a lesson can vary depending on the needs of the student, they tend to be between 45 minutes to 2 hours long. The lesson will be focusing more on practice and applying theory and knowledge to questions, 20-30 minutes of online material (typically videos explaining basics of the theory) can be expected to be given as homework to prepare for the next lesson, more or less can be arranged if needed or if an exam is coming soon. I have a lot of experience tutoring, I have tutored several students and helped improve their grades significantly and I am also a language tutor, now currently tutoring several students in languages, physics and mathematics. I am currently in the third year of physics at UCL and I focus on GCSE mathematics and physics, I have had a few A level mathematics students as well.
