About Oliver
I am fourth year Physics student at the University of Southampton with a huge love of Maths and Physics. Since GCSE I have loved learning and honing mathematical skills leading to huge personal success in exams. I achieved in my A-Levels A*A*A*A (Maths, Physics , Chemistry, Further Maths) and am well on track for a 1st in my degree.
I have been in a teaching environment for a large portion of my life, be it helping classmates or teaching swimming to a variety of ages. Clear communication and flexible learning are skills I have relied on and grown over my life.

Deep understanding and practice are key to proficient learning. Full knowledge of a topic allows the application of the skills achieved to any possible situation. I aim to tutor student to achieve proficiency in each subject by giving them a good depth and breadth of knowledge solidified by practice.
Before a lesson its important to appreciate a student's current ability in the subject. From this a lesson can be tailored around the student to either;
Teach from the ground up (from first principles if necessary ) .
Solidify knowledge in the subject
address any weakness in the current knowledge
Following that, problems and examples can then be employed to cement in knowledge.
In this summer of uncertainty I aim to address any shortfall in lessons and keep the students ability retained as well as preparing them for next year and any exams that may include.
