About Tarun
Hello! I'm Tarun Mathew Doss from Chennai, India, currently a first-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have been playing the piano for the past 14 years, and I've had the privilege of performing in the United States and across India. Outside of music, I enjoy playing football and spending time with friends.
I teach music because it's more than just notes on a page—it's a universal language that speaks to each of us in different ways. We all have that song we listen to before a big match, before an exam, or to unwind at the end of the day. My goal as a teacher is to help others discover the wonders of music, whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills.
Learning music is about more than just playing an instrument; it's about expressing yourself, building confidence, and finding joy in the process. I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their musical interests. I use a blend of classical and contemporary methods tailored to each student's learning style and interests. Whether it’s mastering a specific instrument or developing general music skills, as a young teacher I aim to make each lesson fun!
• 30 min / 1 hr lessons.
• Distinction in Trinity Piano Grade 8, KM Conservatory Programme Level 5/5, Tutored by Prof. Karl Lutchmayer.
• Lessons for all ages of beginner to intermediate level.
