Super Prof

Nicky is one of our best Piano tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Nicky

I have been teaching for over 25 years in schools and privately. My students have always enjoyed their lessons and their successes. I have a 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams and have supported many students in performance opportunities, music GCSE work, A Level exams, D of E tasks and University applications through their music studies. I am also an experienced and supportive accompanist.

About the lesson

You'll love your learning journey with my friendly, flexible and thorough approach. You'll develop a strong and fluid playing technique, follow your own musical style and grow your confidence in your independent ability through reading and understanding all of the details of your musical material.
What would you like to learn to play? Whether long or short term, I can guide you to realising your piano goals.
We will learn warm up exercises for strength and movement, practise fundamental skills such as clear counting, notation reading and expressive details, and apply these to your choice of music which is based on your reasons and motivations for learning. We can take a long term view for life-long learning or through the exam systems, or we can set a shorter goal of working towards an upcoming event or simply a particular song.
Parents; you are very welcome to stay and watch, and are also welcome to ask any questions that will enable you to support your child's practice between lessons.
Lessons take place in the student's home or via zoom.
Support can also be given during the week via brief text messaging.

Lessons are 30/45/60 minutes at a time/day which suits you, and available during school breaks should you wish.
A minimum of 36 hrs notice to cancel or rearrange is appreciated (on the occasional basis) to avoid a full lesson charge.

Perfect! Just a lovely teacher! I am lucky to find her. Nicky is very organised and always well planned ahead. She is not only great at her expertise, but also understand her students. She listens and observes to see what they need and don't to figure out the best for way for them.

Perfect! Nicky is a fantastic piano teacher. She is responsible, punctual, professional, and a kind teacher. She knows how to encourage a not-so-willing young child to play piano. My child made a quick progress with Nicky. We recently left Cambridge and Nicky is one reason why I would consider going back to Cambridge. I highly recommend Nicky.

Perfect! Nicky is an amazing teacher, she makes you feel comfortable right from the start, takes the lesson at your pace (while also give you a slight push/nudge), and is very punctual!

I feel I can ask her anything/any question, she is also teaching me in a very structured way, and I am already seeing such a massive progress in myself

If you are looking for a Piano teacher, search no further - Nicky is what you need!

Perfect! The trial lesson with the tutor was very good. My child was engaged and seemed to enjoy the lesson. The tutor was very communicative and made sure to explain things clearly. After the trial lesson, we were happy with the experience and decided to continue with the tutor. We are optimistic that this tutor will be a great fit for our child's needs and look forward to seeing their progress.

Nicky is an extremely talented teacher. She taught me piano for over 6 years and I was always impressed how she tailored her teaching to my needs and requirements. She is a lovely and warm person too, meaning that I never felt awkward in having to tell her that I didn't understand something or asking her to go over something for a second or even third time. I recommend Nicky 100%!
