About Kyra
My journey with piano began with a fascination for the instrument’s capacity to combine technique and artistic expression. I earned a B.Mus in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, equipping me with both performance skills and educational expertise. Over 10 years, I have taught students ranging from beginners to advanced performers, guiding them toward technical mastery, musical understanding, and expressive confidence.
I teach with patience, encouragement, and an emphasis on individualized instruction. Lessons combine structured exercises, repertoire study, and creative exploration, fostering both skill development and artistic expression. I focus on helping students cultivate both technical precision and interpretive creativity.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged in performance, continued study, and pedagogical development. Teaching piano is profoundly rewarding because I witness learners grow technically, creatively, and personally, gaining confidence, musical insight, and a lasting love for the art of piano performance.

Piano lessons become most effective when students experience structured technical development combined with creative exploration. My approach emphasizes finger independence, sight-reading, rhythmic accuracy, tonal control, phrasing, and expressive interpretation. Lessons integrate technical exercises seamlessly with repertoire study, allowing students to apply concepts in meaningful musical contexts. I provide consistent guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement, helping students gradually develop both technical mastery and artistic expression.
Lesson content is customized to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on hand coordination, note recognition, and simple melodies. Intermediate students work on expressive phrasing, dynamics, advanced sight-reading, and coordination between hands. Advanced learners focus on complex repertoire, stylistic interpretation, improvisation, and performance readiness. Each session incorporates reflective practice, goal setting, and constructive feedback to ensure measurable progress and musical growth.
Piano lessons also cultivate patience, focus, and confidence. Students gain the ability to perform with both technical precision and expressive nuance, while developing creative interpretation skills. My goal is to create an engaging and supportive environment where learners develop the technical ability, artistic sensibility, and self-assurance to enjoy music fully.
