About Vivienne
My journey with piano began as a child when I first experienced how music can communicate emotions more deeply than words. This passion led me to pursue a B.Mus in Piano Performance, followed by an M.Mus in Classical Interpretation, where I developed both advanced technique and a deeper artistic understanding of musical storytelling. Over the last 13 years, I have guided students through rewarding piano journeys with patience, structure, and encouragement.
I believe piano education should feel inspiring rather than pressured. My teaching style focuses on helping students grow steadily through supportive correction, clear explanation, and achievable goals. I encourage learners to explore music with curiosity, confidence, and personal connection, whether they play for enjoyment, exams, or professional development.
Outside teaching, I remain active through repertoire study, performance work, and continual exploration of piano pedagogy. Teaching piano is deeply fulfilling because I witness students transform from uncertainty into confident musicians who feel proud of their growth and expressive ability.

Piano becomes truly powerful when students understand that music is not only about pressing keys correctly, but about shaping sound with feeling, control, and artistic imagination. In my lessons, I guide learners through hand posture, coordination, rhythm accuracy, sight-reading, and expressive phrasing in a calm and inspiring environment. I focus on helping students build confidence step by step, showing them how technical improvement naturally leads to more musical freedom.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s stage of learning. Beginners develop foundations through simple melodies, finger strength exercises, basic chord understanding, and rhythm stability. Intermediate students explore more advanced repertoire, dynamic control, pedaling technique, and smoother musical interpretation. Advanced learners work on performance refinement, audition preparation, complex classical works, and deeper artistic storytelling through music. Every lesson includes structured practice strategies, supportive feedback, and motivation that keeps progress consistent.
Piano lessons also build patience, creativity, and emotional confidence. Many students find that music becomes a personal space of expression and calm. My goal is to help learners not only play well, but also feel connected to the beauty of music through their own developing voice.
