About Nicolas
With over 12 years of intensive piano study and an RCM Grade 10 certification, I possess a deep, first-hand understanding of the challenges students face at every level. My academic background in Engineering and Business provides me with a unique, analytical approach to teaching; I break down complex musical concepts into logical, digestible steps.
I am a results-oriented instructor who values patience and consistency. Having navigated the RCM system myself, I know exactly how to guide ambitious students toward their goals while fostering a genuine love for the instrument. I am currently accepting students from Preliminary levels up to Grade 5.

My pedagogy is centered on building a rock-solid technical foundation through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) framework. I specialize in taking students from their first notes through to Grade 5, ensuring they develop the transferable skills necessary for long-term musical literacy.
The First Complimentary Lesson,
We will:
- Technical Audit: Evaluate current posture, hand positioning, and note-reading fluency.
- Goal Setting: Align your personal interests with RCM milestones.
- Curriculum Design: You will leave with a clear 6-month roadmap of the books and techniques we will cover.
What We Cover:
- Reading & Theory: Transitioning from "memorizing keys" to true musical literacy.
- Technique: Developing the finger strength and agility required for RCM success.
- Performance: Building the confidence to play with expression and "inner connection."
