About Rory
I am a piano tutor with 11 years of experience and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. My passion for piano began at a young age and grew into a deep interest in both performing and teaching. Over the years, I have guided students from beginner to advanced levels, helping them build strong musical skills and confidence. My goal is to make piano learning clear, structured, and enjoyable for every student.
My teaching style is based on patience, clarity, and consistent support. I break down complex techniques into simple steps so students can understand and improve comfortably. I focus on helping students develop both technical ability and musical expression. Creating a positive and supportive environment is very important to me. Students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I provide regular feedback to guide their progress effectively.
I continue improving my teaching methods and exploring new ways to make lessons engaging. Teaching piano is very rewarding because I see students grow in both skill and confidence. I enjoy helping learners discover their musical potential. My goal is to support students in achieving strong musical foundations. By the end, students feel motivated, confident, and ready to continue their musical journey with skill, creativity, and lasting passion for piano.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop strong musical skills from the very beginning through clear and structured learning. I focus on teaching note reading, rhythm accuracy, finger independence, hand coordination, and basic music theory using simple explanations. Each lesson includes practical exercises that improve finger strength and control, helping students play smoothly and confidently. I guide students step by step so they understand not just how to play, but also why music works the way it does. Lessons are interactive and engaging, encouraging students to stay motivated and consistent. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing and improving at their own pace.
Lessons are customized based on each student’s level and goals. Beginners focus on basic notes, simple songs, and coordination between both hands. Intermediate learners work on rhythm, dynamics, and more detailed pieces. Advanced students focus on performance techniques, expression, and musical interpretation. I provide clear guidance and helpful corrections in every session. Students are encouraged to practice regularly and build confidence gradually. Regular revision sessions help reinforce learning and improve long-term consistency.
Piano learning becomes enjoyable when students feel confident in their ability. My goal is to help learners build both technical skills and musical expression. As they progress, they begin to enjoy playing and performing with confidence. Many students develop strong musical understanding and creativity.
