About Jarrod
My name is Jarrod Piner, I'm a 28Yr old multi-instrumentalist with ties to many creative endeavours in music. Having been part of a successful touring band for many years and having vast experience in working with other musicians, I understand the intricacies of how to practically apply musical knowledge in real-world situations. Many of my students are, themselves, touring musicians. I love films, writing songs and learning about everything and everyone!

The technique implemented while learning with me could be called an "alternate perspective approach". You'll learn not only how to play the piano, but also how to understand music quickly, communicate musical ideas effectively and how the satisfying jigsaw that is music theory fits together as a whole. Each lesson will be 1Hr long (though I'll only end a lesson once the subject of the lesson is understood) I have taught privately for 5 Yrs and within a public school for the past 2 Yrs. I have been entrenched in music performance for 15 years and have toured both nationally and internationally for 10+ years. I teach any age from 8 and above, from zero musical knowledge up to Grade 2/3 (though anyone looking to find an easier and more full perspective on the basics of theory will also benefit from my curriculum)

Jarrods teaching skills are second to none, he has been very patient and I've found it is extremely good value, he is exceptional in his music knowledge, it has been a great experience to be taught by him
I would recommend jarrod for all ages who would like to learn piano. He has taught me a 27 year old as well as my niece who is 6 years old. He caters his lesson to your ability and is an excellent teacher!!
