About Helena
I am a piano performance graduate from Laurentian University. I've been studying piano since I was 7 years old and performed in my first recital when I was 8. If you live in the Sudbury area you might've seen me in performances such as Piano Grande (2017, 2018, 2019), and the 2016 SSO Concerto Competition (link to my audition tape below) where I won second.

The student has a choice between the standard Royal Conservatory of Music. This is the method I grew up with, and I recommend it for anyone who loves classical music or thinks they would like to learn how to read and write musical scores. I am also comfortable teaching non-standard repertoire, although I am not comfortable teaching students strictly by ear. I think reading and writing is an important part of the student's musical education.
