About Charlotte
From an early age, I was captivated by the piano's expressive power, and this fascination has only grown over the years. As a tutor, I aim to share this passion with my students, helping them discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from mastering an instrument and expressing oneself through music.
I believe that every student has a unique musical voice, and my goal is to help them find and develop it. Teaching piano allows me to connect with students on a personal level, understanding their individual aspirations and challenges. This personal connection is at the heart of my teaching philosophy—it's about more than just notes and techniques; it's about inspiring confidence and creativity in each student. Seeing a student light up when they grasp a new concept or master a challenging piece is incredibly rewarding and drives my passion for teaching.
As a lifelong learner myself, I constantly seek out new ways to improve my own skills and knowledge. This commitment to growth is something I instill in my students, encouraging them to be curious, adventurous, and open to new ideas. Whether exploring different genres, experimenting with improvisation, or diving deep into music theory, I strive to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. My passion for music and teaching is a journey that I eagerly share with my students, guiding them towards not only becoming proficient pianists but also passionate musicians.

With over 5 years of experience, I specialize in teaching Jazz Harmony, Composition, and Improvisation. My lessons are tailored to suit each student's unique needs, whether you're a beginner or an advanced player. We explore a wide range of musical styles, from Jazz and Blues to Funk and RnB, helping you develop a comprehensive understanding of modern music theory and techniques.
In my sessions, I emphasize a hands-on approach to learning, encouraging students to actively participate and experiment with their musical ideas. We cover essential topics like chord progressions, rhythm, and melody, while also diving into the art of improvisation. Through interactive exercises and real-world examples, you'll gain the confidence to express yourself creatively at the piano.
I create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable exploring their musical potential. Together, we'll work towards your personal goals, whether it's mastering a specific piece, preparing for a performance, or simply enjoying the journey of learning music.
