About Xavier
My teaching approach focuses on combining technical skills with musical expression to help students connect deeply with the piano. I emphasize tone control, phrasing, and emotional touch, ensuring each piece is played with feeling. Alongside performance, I guide students in composition basics, harmonic analysis, and music storytelling, so they understand the music beyond the notes. For students drawn to jazz, I explore improvisation, rhythm, and harmony to help them develop a unique style. Classical students focus on precision, interpretation, and expressive phrasing to bring repertoire to life. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, creating a supportive and motivating environment for growth. I also help students prepare for performances and competitions with practical strategies, confidence-building, and constructive feedback. My aim is to nurture both technical mastery and artistic expression, encouraging students to explore their creativity. Above all, I inspire learners to discover their own musical voice and tell their story through the piano.

With over seven years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I am passionate about helping students discover the art of expressive piano playing. My teaching emphasizes tone control, musical storytelling, and performance that truly connects with listeners. Every piece is an opportunity to explore emotion and bring music to life.
I work with students who are passionate about classical repertoire, film music, and artistic growth, tailoring each lesson to their goals and interests. My mentorship style is supportive, patient, and encouraging, helping students develop both skill and confidence. I have guided musicians preparing for conservatories and competitions, providing practical strategies and performance coaching along the way.
I focus on nurturing creativity while building a strong technical foundation. Together, we explore interpretation, phrasing, and emotional nuance to make your playing compelling and personal.
