About Antonio

My first lessons in music was with the accordion at age 6. I later moved on to the piano at age 12 and have been playing and teaching piano ever since. I graduated from Vanier College in music and from McGill University with a jazz performance bachelor degree. I have performed with various artists in Montreal along the years giving me much experience in that field. But I've always had a special love for teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching varies depending on your age and pass experience in music. But generally I include technical exercises, sight reading, rhythmic exercises and learning through performing pieces. I go with your rhythm and how much you are able to handle. I teach classical piano as well as jazz piano. But I'm also opened to teaching popular music as well. I also teach jazz improvisation as well as the fundamentals of harmony in music. If you are a beginner I usually start you off with beginner piano books that have already been published.
